Job
Summary:
To perform psychiatric care to a diverse population of individuals in an outpatient clinical setting.
The Mid-Level will be under direct supervision of the physician and will assess patients, develop diagnosis, and prescribe medication, as needed.
The ideal candidate can work independently, maintain professionalism, and support a holistic approach to treatment.
Must be able to perform frequent follow-ups to see how patients are responding to counseling, medication, and other therapies; as well as work with families to ensure patients are receiving adequate care and support.
The Mid-Level will perform other duties or functions, as assigned.
Duties of the mid-level position include and not limited to:
Psychiatric Evaluations and Assessments Psychiatric Consultations Medication Management Lab Test Administration Establishing and Managing Treatment Plans Ordering Referrals Ordering and Interpreting Diagnostic Studies Collaborating with other healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses and therapists Follow up on a patient to determine the effectiveness of recommended treatments Requirements:
Master's or Doctorate in Nursing Practice Board Certified Licensed to practice in the State of Indiana DEA License & CSR license Specific experience and demonstrated knowledge of mental health care Skills and Competencies:
