Summary:
Webb Hyundai Merrillville is seeking a full-time Assistant Office Manager to join our growing team at our brand-new dealership in Merrillville, Indiana! This position is in the auto industry and falls under the Accounting & Finance department.
As Assistant Office Manager, you will support the Office Manager and assist in managing the daily operations of the office, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all administrative and financial tasks.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in office management, strong organizational skills, and experience in the auto industry.

This is a full-time salaried position with a competitive compensation package based on experience.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Office Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the dealership's office- Manage and maintain accurate financial records and assist with month-end close processes- Process and reconcile invoices, payments, and bank deposits- Prepare and submit financial reports to upper management- Oversee and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions- Monitor and maintain inventory levels- Assist with payroll processing and employee benefit administration- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers- Act as a liaison between departments to ensure effective communication and operations- Assist with office-related tasks such as filing, data entry, and answering phones- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures- Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager or Management teamRequirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred- Minimum of 2 years of experience in office management and/or accounting, preferably in the automotive industry- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with accounting software- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment- Excellent communication and organizational skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Familiarity with inventory management and financial reporting- Knowledge of payroll processing and employee benefit administration- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screeningEEOC Statement:
