This job opening is for a full time Occupational Therapy Assistant interested in a contract assignment with a school district close to the border of Illinois and Indiana. The school district is a short drive south from Chicago and near Merrillville, IN. The position would be a good fit for a local therapist looking for more permanent or stable work (contract extension or permanent hire are possible), or a traveler only looking for short term contract. The SLP will work 35 hours per week with a pediatric population, possibly divided between elementary, middle, and high schools within the district.
The district would prefer to hire a COTA with pediatric experience, especially in a school setting, for this position, but will consider candidates with limited experience who are dedicated to the profession and have the ability to learn quickly.
